Biography:

NONTO is a passionate singer and songwriter residing in the vibrant city of gold, Johannesburg South Africa. She is constantly surrounded and deeply inspired by the diverse and rich music scene that Jozi has to offer.

Her first introduction into the industry was through her 5-track EP titled Looking Ahead released in 2015. The single from her EP called Picture Perfect produced by 37mph got some love from Mzansi’s audience.

In July 2019, NONTO released her 11-track debut album called Colourful. This album sticks onto the new wave RNB block with inspirations of Neosoul and Dance Electronic. Influenced by most things candid, sweet and prickly, she worked with producer Kill3r-K. NONTO bares all on this beautiful urban album, with a contemporary sound that connects with the soul.

Pulling up in 2024! NONTO is releasing new music with producer Ootz Tha Afronaut, and will be dropping singles through out this year! Toying with RNB sounds with a mix of Hip-Hop and Neo soul, “Akekho” is her latest single released in February 2024 where she explores the polar worlds of love and vulnerability.

NONTO, also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management specialising in Marketing Management from the University of Johannesburg.
